Security officers at the University of Sheffield attended an on-site training course for the Level 3 Award in an Introduction to Crime Prevention.The candidates were the Department Manager, Security Supervisors and Security Support Officers.
The delivery was based on practical strategies to enhance safety and mitigate risk. Topics included both practical and problem solving strategies for preventing theft, antisocial behaviour, and unauthorised access—issues often encountered in the busy university setting.
It was a pleasure to be invited back and to deliver training to the security staff who demonstrated they were enthusiastic and committed to provide a secure, safe learning and living environment for both students and staff at the university.
