KABSEC Training  was delighted to deliver a two-day Problem Solving Training course at the London Borough of Bexley Civic Offices, bringing together professionals from across the Place Directorate.
The training, organised by Emma Leather, Community Safety Manager, was opened with a warm welcome from Emma, who highlighted the importance of continued learning and partnership working to keep Bexley safe and resilient.

Participants represented a wide range of services — including ASB, Rough Sleeping, Environmental Crime, the Community Safety  Team, Neighbourhood Officers, a Fire Station Officer, Police, the Town Centre Manager, and a Local Councillor.

Over the two days, delegates explored the theory of how and why crime occurs, before applying the SARA problem solving model (Scanning, Analysis, Response, Assessment) to local issues.

On Day 2, participants worked in multi-agency groups on real-life challenges in Bexleyheath, putting the SARA model into practice. These practical exercises encouraged collaboration, shared insights, and the development of partnership-driven solutions aimed at making lasting improvements to the community.

It was fantastic to see such strong multi-agency teamwork and a genuine commitment to finding effective, evidence-based ways to tackle local concerns.

KABSEC Training  would like to commend Bexley Borough Council for investing in staff development and inter-agency training, reinforcing the borough’s commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative community safety.
