Strengthening UK and Overseas Security Capabilities: Our Level 4 Crime Prevention Course at St Omer Barracks, Aldershot
KABSEC Training was proud to be back working alongside the Royal Military Police (RMP), at the historic St Omer Barracks in Aldershot, delivering the Level 4 Certificate in Crime Prevention for Practitioners.
This was a highly engaging and productive two-week programme. Participants — drawn from RMP units across the UK and internationally — demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism, and a strong appetite for enhancing their operational impact through improved crime prevention skills.
Throughout the first week, learners:
✅ Explored core principles of crime prevention and problem-solving methodology
✅ Examined environmental design and situational crime reduction strategies
✅ Engaged in practical case-study tasks grounded in real policing scenarios
✅ Shared experiences from a diverse range of deployments and operational environments
Their ability to translate theory into clear, actionable solutions was particularly impressive. The collaborative sessions have sparked innovative thinking, with attendees actively developing proposals to improve security outcomes within their respective areas of responsibility.
In the second week, the focus shifted toward:
🔹 Specialist crime-prevention applications
🔹 Risk-based assessments and security surveys
🔹 Presentation and communication of professional recommendations
The energy across the group was fantastic — a testament not only to the professionalism of the RMP but also their collective drive to remain at the forefront of modern policing standards.
KABSEC Training remains firmly committed to supporting Defence policing and security professionals with accredited qualifications that directly enhance operational effectiveness. It is a privilege to play a part in strengthening the skills and resilience of those who safeguard our assets, communities, and Armed Forces personnel.
We celebrate the cohort’s achievements — and look forward to seeing these new skills put into action wherever their roles take them next.
