The City of London Police has for many years been at the forefront of community safety and crime prevention. As the smallest territorial police force in England and Wales, it is vital that its officers are up to date with the latest developments and best practices in the field of problem solving. To achieve this the force has committed to the delivery of the Level 3 Award in Strategic Problem Solving in Community Safety and Crime Prevention qualification to a variety of policing roles from their Prevention and Partnership Hub. The training covers a range of topics including the principles of problem solving, the causes of crime and strategies used to tackle crime and disorder. The training, tailored to include key priorities from the City of London Policing Plan, looked at the methods used to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of any problem solving process and included strategies for engaging with the public and local partners. The qualification was delivered by experienced qualified trainers using a range of teaching methods including group discussions and interactive sessions.
The candidates were given time during the training delivery to commence their qualification submissions and the trainers were able to provide them with feedback to help them progress towards achieving the award.
KABSEC Training thank the City of London Police Partnership and Prevention hub for their hard work and hospitality
