In August KABSEC Training returned to the City of London Police for the delivery of the Level 3 Award in Introduction to Crime Prevention Training to new and experienced Dedicated Ward Officers.
The training was designed to reflect the uniqueness of the capitals environment and issues which the officers face on a day to day basis. The city has a transient population, a Sunday to Thursday commuter population and an international tourist trade which provides many challenges to policing including the night time economy, distraction thefts, anti-social behaviour and retail crime.With this in mind each student was provided with guided tasks around the problem solving and site security surveying elements of the qualification which they practically demonstrated within their respective wards.
